Combine conservative approach with sophisticated techniques
Statewise team supports all local health improvement activities
Our Health Improvement Systems are comprised of a wide array of proven techniques and processes that add value to patient care and increase cost efficiency. The pivotal point for medical management is the Primary Care Physician who is responsible for coordinating health care services. Our UM nursing staff supports the physician in this role through inpatient reviews and daily reviews of audit reports tracking pended authorizations and inpatient and referral detail. We have successfully used our information system to identify opportunities for improved guidelines, prevention and disease management. An experienced statewide team using standardized processes, criteria and guidelines supports all local health improvement activities. Local management means these activities can be easily modified to meet the unique medical management goals of each group.

 Best Practice program
Physicians need support in finding solutions to health care problems. If an organization expects physician performance that achieves superior clinical outcomes, delivers care cost-effectively and maintains exceptional patient satisfaction, it needs physician leaders who inspire and motivate. In addition to leadership training and regular review meetings, NAMM California sponsors an annual physician leadership conference which enables our Medical Directors, Board Members and other physician leaders to sharpen their leadership skills and share best clinical and business practices.
