Howard Saner

Howard Saner has over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, starting as a member advocate for FHP Healthcare. While at FHP Healthcare, he worked his way through the company's operations, taking on various positions ranging from medical group operations, contract negotiations, community relations and strategic development.

After FHP Healthcare, he joined Talbert Medical Group and served as Vice President of Managed Care and eventually  became the Senior Vice President of BusinessDevelopment and Marketing. Having served in various positions, Saner was
enthusiastic about returning to Riverside and was Chief Executive Officer for Riverside Physician Network from 2004 to 2019.  In 2019, RPN sold to Optum CA (NAMM) where he now serves as the Vice President of IPA Operations and leads
the growth and marketing strategies for the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego.

He graduated from Long Beach City College, California State University at Long Beach, and received an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Saner continues to be active in boards including Janet Goeske Foundation & Senior Center and
Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce. He is married with two grown daughters, and they enjoy outdoor activities and watching college football.
